94 MIN

Larry Bissonnette and Tracy Thresher are two middle-aged autistic men who, after decades in institutions and group homes, found their voice through Facilitated Communication and later Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). In this documentary, they travel to Finland, Japan, and Sri Lanka to meet other AAC users and autism advocates. Oscar-nominated; produced by Academy Award-winner Gerardine Wurzburg (*Educating Peter*). One of the few documentaries centering autistic adults and AAC as liberation rather than limitation. Essential for anyone working with AAC users or in communication access.
