Shoshannah Stern and Josh Feldman play two Deaf best friends navigating work and love in Los Angeles, with Marlee Matlin among the cast. Because the creators are Deaf, the show treats Deafness as ordinary texture rather than a special subject, and its production pioneered tracking audio interpretation alongside signing so hearing editors could cut the scenes. Authorship and authenticity all the way down.
