Three seasons (ABC, 2016 to 2019) of a sitcom centering JJ DiMeo, a teenager with cerebral palsy, and the family chaos of being JJ's family. Played by Micah Fowler, who has cerebral palsy himself. Remarkable for using AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) as the actual comic mechanism, JJ's aide Kenneth speaks his words, creating layered, physical comedy. One of very few mainstream sitcoms to cast a disabled actor in the disabled lead role. Smart, funny, and warm.
