Murderball(2005)

An Oscar-nominated documentary about quadriplegic wheelchair rugby (murderball). Remarkable for refusing every standard trope about disability: there is no inspirational arc, no cure narrative, no tragedy. The athletes are portrayed as fierce, competitive, funny, and sexual, fully human, without making disability the punchline or the hook. One of the clearest models for how documentary can engage with disability from outside the community without condescension.
