A French period drama based on the true story of Marie Heurtin, a girl born DeafBlind in the 1890s, and the nun who refused to give up on reaching her. What makes it notable is its casting: Marie is played by Ariana Rivoire, a Deaf actress, rather than a hearing star. A moving counterpoint to The Miracle Worker, and freely streamable.
