Claire Cunningham: Give Me a Reason to Live

Claire Cunningham uses her crutches as a primary choreographic instrument, not a prop. This stark solo draws on the disabled figures in Hieronymus Bosch's paintings to interrogate "otherness," and it is dedicated to the victims of Aktion T4, the Nazi program that murdered disabled people. Documentation and a trailer are available through her website and Vimeo. One of the most rigorous bodies of work in international disability dance.
